Position Summary:
Pyer Moss is seeking a unique and discerning eye to fill our Staff Photographer role. The Staff Photographer will work closely with the Art Director, E-Commerce Director, and CEO/Creative Director to oversee the execution of all photographic and video projects at Pyer Moss. Part creative director and part archivist, this role requires an unflinching attention to detail as well as a high level of organizational abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Photograph using both natural and studio lighting (strobes, soft boxes, umbrellas), utilizing tethered shooting
- Maintain a keen understanding of Pyer Moss’ brand codes and insure all images (internal as well as with external partners) meet standards
- Ensure images are captured and up to brand standards for all campaigns, e-commerce launches, events, and other company needs in an efficient and timely manner
- Ability to shoot on model, on mannequin, lay flats, hanging apparel photography
- Photograph apparel and other products for advertising, marketing, and e-commerce needs
- Retouch to industry standard including compositing, liquifying, and other photo manipulation techniques
- Partnering closely with creative team for styling and art direction
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandise teams on creative concepts for e-commerce and corporate photography assignments
- Maintain all photo assets in a clear, easy to use digital library
- Work with E-commerce and Art Directors to establish and maintain an efficient workflow
Requirements:
- 3 years photography experience preferred in a digital print and/or web environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, required
- Lightroom CC, Capture One experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of photography techniques including lighting, styling, and composition
- Strong sense of color theory and understanding of color management
- Experience photographing and retouching in online retail
- Experience shooting and editing video projects is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt easily to last minute changes in art direction, product design, and project execution
- Ability to meet deadlines is a must
- Energetic attitude and passion for photography
